It was such a great vacation. And a neat area to visit.
We liked the resort and only did a couple activities. You could tell though that the area was really dry. I bet it looks completely different after rainy season. The resort did a great job of putting all our rooms together. Check in was crazy. I am glad you suggested private transfer to avoid the rush.
Aaron didn’t love the layout of the resort, but that’s just a personal preference. I think we enjoy when the buildings a low and spread out better than stacked with an elevator. If that makes sense. Everything was nice.
Amy and I did the cooking class — Wahaca cooking school. It’s the ex-husband of the chili’s and chocolate class that I think you guys did. It was good and I’d recommend to anyone. Close to the resort. The day charter of the boat was great. Loved the dolphins. We didn’t get to the waterfalls or turtles-all seemed like too long of a day. Part of the group went into town to shop. And part went back for pizza dinner one evening. Several people had recommended LaCrema for pizza. It was good.
We did use the spa certificate! Thanks. They had a buy one get one free special. So I used that with Amy (we both paid 1/2 price) and Aaron used the coupon. So we both got massages and spent less than 150$ after tip! Can’t beat that!
Felt very safe on resort and off. I’m excited to hear what options and time of year you’d recommend for Costa Rica! Seems like that’s next on the list!
