Hey Dave,
Our trip was awesome this year. About our only complaint was it took a few days to get our bearings on where everything was. It was such a pretty resort. But with all the tall trees, it was hard to find land marks and figure out where you were. Other than that, the food was awesome. The people were awesome. I think everyone in our group this year agreed this place was on par with EPM. I think our favorite dinner was the hibachi grill. The service around the main pool (middle of the 3) was superb. They were always moving around so the ladies could have shade. Drinks and food service was great around that pool. A few of the ladies did morning exercises and said all the instructors were good also.
Thanks for everything,
Jeff
Hello!! Secrets Akumal was an absolute amazing resort. We loved everything about the property....the food, the service, drinks. It was a dream!! We did two excursions (by accident). They got our names mixed up with another couple and we ended up going on the wrong excursion the first day. But they were very accommodating and we were able to do both of the excursions for the price of 1 because of the mix up. The first one we went on were the Mayan Temples. Very cool thing to see and do, just not something we were super interested in. The second excursion (the one we originally booked) was the cave snorkeling, which we all LOVED. Something very cool that we would definitely recommend for others to see! Our favorite restaurant at the resort was the hibachi grill, but in all honesty, we thought the food at all restaurants were fabulous! The staff and servers did a wonderful job at catering to your every needs. AND the entertainment....we LOVED it!! So nice to have something to do in the nighttime than just sit around and drink, we really enjoyed that a lot and looked forward to what would be on the schedule for every night! |

Thank you so much! It was such a great trip, we already want to go back!
The Preferred Club was nice, there was a private bar area and restaurant we could go to.
We got a beverage right off the plane so we didn't need to stop by the transportation was great!
We went to Chichen Itaza and Xel-ha. Both were really nice! The tour guides were great and we really enjoyed the actual site seeing. Xel-ha was amazing!!!
We would recommend the resort for a honeymoon. It was very relaxing!! The rooms were so nice and all the food was amazing. We tried every restaurant they had to offer and never had a bad meal. Steve is allergic to Shellfish and they were so accomodating with his food and very careful. We don't regret our choice at all!
