Sean and Kortney
Hyatt Ziva Cancun
April 6, 2019
We met through my best friend and man of honor. We had an instant connection over our love of adventure. The next 5 years were a whirlwind of travel and exploration together. We then got engaged and immediately decided on a destination wedding! What better way to bring our favorite people together to celebrate our union than the beach!
Destination & Resort:
Hyatt Ziva Cancun
Number of guests:
86
Ceremony location:
Cliffside Gazebo
Reception Location:
Sky Terrace
Wedding colors:

Photographer:
Sarah Valencia (We brought our photographer with us)
Honeymoon Location & Resort:
Stayed at Hyatt Ziva Cancun
Favorite thing about the Resort:
: The size of the resort. It was the perfect size to be able to spend time with all of our guests. I truly loved everything about this resort! I don’t know if I could go to another all-inclusive after staying at the Hyatt Ziva.
Why did you choose to partner with Love to Travel for your destination wedding:
I knew we would need a lot of help making travel arrangements for all of our guests and my mom had recommended Love to Travel. They had planned another vacation for a group of hers in the past. I’m so thankful that we used Love to Travel! It made wedding planning so simple and easy. They helped us pick the perfect resort for our big day made the travel arrangements a breeze, and they performed our legal ceremony before the wedding in Mexico. It was absolutely perfect!
Advice to other wedding couples:
We ended up not going on the pre wedding trip that the resort offered. We decided to go a couple days before our guests would arrive. It was perfect! We met with our wedding coordinator and had all the details sorted out in a couple hours. The coordinators at Ziva are amazing and they know what they are doing. We didn’t need to do the pre trip.
Going a few days before our guests arrived allowed us to have some time together. We enjoyed the spa, a couple’s massage, and a private dinner overlooking the ocean. It’s nice to have some time to yourselves before the party arrives.
I would also recommend having your family come earlier than your friends if that’s something they can do. This allowed us to have some more personal time with our close relatives.
Preferred 1 year anniversary trip location:
Hyatt Ziva. I would love to go back with just the two of us! Except all of our guests have suggested that we invite them for the 1 year as well.
