Royalton Riviera Cancun

Review by Matt, 8/29/2018

Thank you for checking in.  We had a great vacation and really enjoyed staying at the Royalton.  Diamond club is definitely worth the price and really the only way to go. All in all, a great trip.  We are thinking about a July 2019 trip to Royalton in Antigua.

Thank you again so much for booking our vacation. We had a wonderful time. Our resort was to die for. The staff everywhere treated us like royality and served us like crazy.  We ended up doing 1 excursion. Snorkeling. Fun had by all.

Thanks so much

Hi Dave!

We had a fantastic trip! The hotel was very nice and the weather was perfect. The hotel staff went out of their way to decorate our hotel room for Eric's birthday and did it all again the following day. We really enjoyed the room with the rooftop terrace and chose to eat breakfast from room service (which was very yummy) up there most of the trip; it was really nice to have a separate place Harrison could play while we had some downtime, so we spent more time than expected up there. H really wanted a swim out room, so the hotel was able to switch us over the last few days of our trip and while it was nice, the pools were too shaded to be warm enough to really enjoy this time of year. H loved the pools with the slides even though we didn't spend much time there because they were too cold also. The kids club was also fantastic! I was really impressed with everything they had for the kids and he participated in a lot considering he was too young to go by himself. The kids show was his favorite part of the day and our bargaining tool to get him to take a nap most days. The only real downside to the hotel was the amount of people trying to sell you timeshares, spa services, etc. It really took something away from the whole experience. Don't get me wrong, we would still go back, I would have just preferred not to have to learn how to dodge those people for a week.

We booked the Captain Hook Pirate show and that was a lot of fun, but about 90 minutes too long for our little guy to handle (he ended up passing out cold before it was even over). That was about the only excursion other than XelHa that he was old enough for, but was a lot of fun and he is still talking about it.

Our transportation all around was fantastic; we upgraded to first class on the plane so we had plenty of room to spread out. Lomas only had a limo available for the private transfer on the way to the hotel and then sent a Navigator for our return, so we really can't complain there at all either.

All in all, it was a great trip and we will probably take H back in a few years when he is old enough to spend some time in the kids club so we can get a break. Thanks so much for your help booking this trip! I was really impressed with the whole booking process through you and have sung your praises to all of our friends and co-workers already.

I will send some pictures when I get a chance too.

Thanks again,
Shannon
