Playa Escondida not only met, but exceeded our expectations, For us it was like going to the mountains except at the ocean. From the moment we arrived we were total chill. Small quaint resort, private beach, with minimal distractions (i.e. phone, TV, noisy, small kids) and literally carved out of the jungle. Privacy, yet inclusive, from the moment we arrived we were met by Angie (Guest Services) and given a tour that included introducing us to everyone ”We were made to feel like family”. The low cost of services and amazingly plentiful food was a highlight in itself. The option to rent a golf cart is ingenious and allows you to go to town on your schedule. The staff which we learned and called by name ( Jose, Juan, Jesus, Angie, Anita, Rebecca, Karina, Issa, Marisol, Alana, Joel, Manuel, Noe ) make this place special. And lets not forget Jorge Moreno/Nayarit Uncovered, who took us on a fantastic All Day excursion, and made a personal video for our daughter who watches Bachelor in Paradise. Our last day was filled with pictures and hugs from the staff. It would storm every night, but was gorgeous every day. Midweek there were only 20 ppl at the resort. |
