We had a fabulous time in Hawaii. The Hilton in the village was wonderful. Tapa Tower was great. We had a beautiful view of the beach from our balcony. I loved that it was so close to everything in the village.
Yes, we did go a couple of excursions. One of our favorite was the helicopter tour of the island. We recommend the Blue Hawaiian Tour Co. as we think they were the best as it was a bit longer of a tour and they show you everything from outer edges to inland and narrate the entire trip.
Pearl Harbor was amazing and we were able to see the Missouri after visiting the Arizona Memorial. We recommend both as the Missouri was also incredible to see.
Also, we did the ground tour, all around the island and saw so much. It included Dole Plantation, the north shores and stopping for shrimp and many other sites that were interesting to see. The guide was so funny and really helpful. We really never needed to rent a car as the tours are all accessible for pickup a couple of blocks from the hotel.
The luau also is a must see. We loved the performers and the dinner.
