In honor of Dave & Kim being back from the Dominican Republic, this week's Thirsty Thursday "Drink of the Day" is the Dirty Monkey/Dirty Banana.
The Dirty Money/Dirty Banana tastes more like a milkshake than an alcoholic beverage and is one of our go-to's in the Dominican and Jamaica!
This is one you're going to want to remember!
The Mobile Passport App allows you to fly through Customs (no pun intended), by electronically submitting your passport and trip information, and bypassing the regular Customs line.
Download the [free] app and set up your profile by answering a few questions. Then, once you are at your "port of entry, connect to Wifi, and submit your data. Follow the "Mobile Passport Control" signs, present your passport, scan the Customs barcode on your app, and you're on your way!
Mobile Passport Control is now available in 22 airports and 1 cruise port.
Our owners, Kim & Dave Cook, are back in the Dominican Republic this week staying at Secrets Cap Cana. Follow their stay on Facebook and Instagram!
We have our very own Wedding Gazebo right in our Beach House! Take a look at the newly decorated altar!
Did you know that some countries require your passport to be valid 6 months after travel? These countries will deny entry if your passport does not meet their validity criteria.
Make sure you know the rules before traveling internationally!
Here are the current "rules" for some of our most common destinations:
Mexico - Passport must be valid at time of entry
Dominican Republic - Passport must be valid at time of entry
Jamaica - Passport must be valid at time of entry & exit
Bahamas - Passport must be valid at time of entry
Tahiti - 3 months
St. Lucia - Passport must have 6 month validity at entry
Grenada - 6 months beyond the date of entry
Costa Rica - Passport must be valid for the length of stay
Turks & Caicos - Passport must be valid for the duration of stay
Please note that validity requirements may change at any time and without notice, which is why we always suggest that your passport be valid at least 6 months after you return.

If you've ever traveled from the States to Cancun, you probably remember the "moment of truth" feeling when you are about to go through Customs at the airport. You were asked to press the button and then the light either turned green for go, or red for the dreaded - "we're going to need to search your bag".
Good news - your days of "red light, green light" may soon be over. In an effort to "streamline" the Customs process, the Mexico City airport is testing out doing away with the old process and instead, they will be x-raying bags as they come off the airplane.
