Arrielle & Kyle
Dreams Playa Mujeres
April 25, 2023
Kyle & I met in college while playing volleyball. We became teammates, friends, and then he told me he was going to marry me. I told him he was crazy & I definitely made him work for it. 9 years later, we've created a beautiful life together, established our careers as a nurse and firefighter, rescued 2 dogs, and visited 12 beaches together. It has always been my dream to get married on the sand, and luckily enough, Kyle had the same dream. We've worked hard to make that dream happen and we got married on the beaches of Playa Mujeres!

Why did you choose to partner with Love to Travel for your destination wedding:
We have friends who have used Love to Travel to help decide and plan for their destination weddings. They highly recommended LTT and said they helped make the planning smooth and easy. They have so much information on the resorts we had interest in, and were able to steer us to resorts that fit our wants! Our guests were very impressed with the ease and reliability of LTT when they booked their stay and transportation!
Advice to other wedding couples:
We gave our guests a 2 year heads up on our plan for a destination wedding! This made it easy to keep the guest count accurate. Don't stress about the spotty communications with the coordinator when you're months to a year out from the wedding. The communication weeks prior becomes more consistent and quick. We joined general and wedding facebook groups of the resort, and followed the instagrams of the wedding coordinators. This helped answer many of our questions, and we were able to get more tips and info. I'm usually a type A person, so those groups helped me trust that the resort would make it a beautiful wedding wedding experience; and they did just that!
We wanted to keep our wedding package and add ons under/around 10-11k, and we were able to do that! We added on the Dj service, hair & makeup from Styling Trio, 4 shot cold fireworks, fairy lights, and 8 hr videography. We added flower corsages for the gazebo, and used them as the sweetheart centerpiece, and used the bridesmaid flowers as reception centerpieces. We exchanged the corsage and boutonnieres for one big bouquet - and it was worth it. We did not upgrade any seating or tables. I reminded myself that we are at a beautiful location and we did not need much more, and it was all perfect!
Where do you want to go for your 1 year anniversary:
We would love to try a Sandals resort in St. Lucia, Barbados, or Antigua.
