Andrew & Bailey
Secrets Capri
4/27/19

Bailey and I grew up about 3 miles away from each other in Andover, KS, but didn't finally meet until after graduating college (me from KU and her from Newman nursing school by way of KU). We had both just moved back in with our parents. As all the best romantic stories go, Bailey and I met in a bar. My friends noticed Bailey and her friends and naturally, we sheepishly approached them. After that initial encounter, our friend groups hung out with each other a few more times. Then, I finally mustered up the courage to ask Bailey out on a date. She accepted! After dating for a few months, my living situation changed, and we moved in together. This may have been a bit faster than your average relationship, but we both felt confident in how we felt about each other and were assured in our future together. Also, Bailey was working nights at the hospital at that time, so the buffer of alternating work schedules definitely helped. We moved houses 2 more times after this, Bailey going to graduate school online all the while. Bailey finally graduated as a Nurse Practitioner from Georgetown University and started looking for jobs. She finally found one she wanted in Topeka, KS. We found her a rental house and moved most of her things north. After a few months of a somewhat long-distance relationship, it finally came time for me to move to Topeka. We had been alternating weekends in Wichita and Topeka. On one of her last trips back to Wichita before I was set to move to Topeka, I surprised her and popped the question right as she walked in the door to our Wichita house. She accepted! Now, we have been together for 4 years and just bought our first house in Topeka. We live here happily with our 2 dogs (Leo and Arya).

Why did you choose to partner with Love to Travel for your destination wedding:
We heard very good things about partnering up with a travel agent for our destination wedding. Choosing Love to Travel was one of the better decisions we have made. The process was so easy and beneficial.

Advice to other wedding couples:
I would highly recommend partnering with a travel agent for a destination wedding. We had little to no idea what steps needed to be taken or what resort to choose. Love to Travel made the entire process very easy and took a lot of potential stress out of the situation.

Preferred 1 year anniversary trip location:
Unsure just yet! Thinking about Jamaica or possibly heading to Europe.

Deciding to do a destination wedding was one of the best decisions we made. We were so happy with how it all turned out. This allowed us to have a stress-free wedding day!
